Salary: $76,000 to $105,000

About the Firm:
Our client, a top-tier AM 100 law firm, is seeking a highly skilled Legal Secretary to join their dynamic Litigation team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-profile legal environment, providing comprehensive administrative and legal support to both internal teams and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain a consistent physical presence to support a collaborative work environment, optimizing assignments, cross-training, and peer support for seamless service delivery
• Coordinate legal practice tasks and projects, managing deadlines, resources, and priorities
• Handle a variety of administrative functions including finance and billing-related tasks, time and expense entries, new matter openings, client presentations, meetings, and other projects
• Collaborate with and delegate to firm resources such as DPS, Williams Lea, and the Client Service Center, ensuring efficient task management across global offices
• Prepare complex legal documents and correspondence, file with courts and agencies, and maintain client materials within the firm’s document management systems
• Engage with the Finance Department to manage time entry, billing practices, and client invoicing, including proofreading, applying task codes, handling rate changes, write-offs, and preparing expense reports and audits
• Oversee legal and administrative practices to maintain high service levels that meet client expectations
• Demonstrate adaptability and innovation in handling a variety of projects, with a willingness to work overtime when necessary
Proficiencies:
• Advanced organizational, prioritization, coordination, and teamwork skills
• Expert proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, including document editing and web-based conferencing tools
• Comprehensive knowledge of timekeeping, expense processing, and legal billing
• Strong understanding of jurisdictional, court, and agency processes and procedures
• Proficient in document management applications and skilled in collaborating across firm-wide departments
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver results while adhering to firm policies and procedures
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of legal secretarial or relevant legal experience (required)
• Litigation experience (required)
